Housing
There are many housing options for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in New Jersey. The Medicaid Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Final Rule mandates that every home is integrated in and supports full access to the greater community. People with disabilities live in rented apartments, condominiums, townhouses, houses and group homes with assistance from the Supportive Housing Connection. If a licensed provider agency is providing the supports in the home a lease or legally enforceable agreement must be in the individual’s name.
