Transportation
In New Jersey, transportation is available to people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities through Access Link, a statewide service for those unable to access local bus or light rail services. In addition, each county provides individualized transportation services. People who use an individual budget through The Division of Developmental Disabilities may also use their budget to hire a Self-Directed Employee (SDE) to transport them or use a new pilot program of Access Link with Uber and Lyft. Transportation is crucial for people to remain active and have a successful community life.
