Natalie Trump
Natalie Trump serves as Program Director of Education and Training for the Community Living Education Project (CLEP) providing information, education, and support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families about the possibilities of community living. Natalie provides outreach and education to families transitioning from their educational entitlement to adult Services with the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD).
Natalie began in Supports Coordination in 2003 advocating for budgets working to build self- direction in NJ. She was a trainer in Person-Centered Thinking and Planning for 9 years. Natalie, as a Support Coordinator and then via CLEP worked under the Olmstead Initiative to assist people to move from NJ’s state institutions to the community helping with the closure of two NJ Institutions.
Natalie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from St. Peter’s University. In July 2009, she graduated from the National Leadership Consortium on Developmental Disabilities at the University of Delaware.
Natalie is the parent of three adult children. Her daughter, Marie, has an individual budget from DDD and begins year 20 in December self-directing her supports and services. Natalie shares her daughter’s personal story to help others learn to build effective, person-centered, individualized service plans, understanding how to collaborate with teams to help individuals with I/DD live a fulfilling community life.
Natalie is a member with the Regional Family Support Planning Council # 6 for Monmouth/Ocean Counties and an active member of the NJ Developmental Disabilities Advocacy Network’s Person-Centered/Self-Directed Services Committee.
